Kurt Komarnitsky- President
A lifelong boater since he was a kid running the family Bell Bouy runabut with a smoke belching 75 Hp evinrude, Kurt is always enthusiastic about having fun on the water whether its fishing, scuba diving, watersports or just plain cruising. He brings that same energy and enthusiasm to the business side of the marine industry with extensive personal experience running everything on the water from inflatables to whitewater jet boats and offshore cruising.
twenty plus years of sales and marketing experience with over fifteen of those as a manufacturers representative for Marine Markets West and a degree in Finance from the University of Colorado complement his business experience.
Kurt travels the NW territory including British columbia and Alaska calling on OEMs and distributors throughout the region, Sometimes using his pilot liscense to cover such a large geographic area. As owner of Marine Markets west which he bought from Steve cleary in 2003, National accounts such fall under his responsibility.
Kurt resides just outside of seattle, WA with his Wife Mary and their furry, four legged children.
Evelyn Frassrand – Administration/customer service
Evelyn has over 20 years working for marine markets west while taking care of everything from office admistration to customer service and providing support for Kurt, Steve and bob while they are on the road. She has a thorough knowledge of the business side working with our represented manufacturers, OEM and Distribution customers.
When there are issues or problems evelyn knows what to do and who to call to make sure it gets handled. She resides in Northern California enjoying time with her children and Grandchildren and of course a few siesta’s on the waters of the Delta in her friends houseboat.
Steve Cleary – territory manager
steve is the old salt on the team with a wealth of knowledge from his 35 plus years in the industry. growing up in Southern California, he surfed the waves and worked in all facets of the marine industry working in rigging, fiberglass, and engine repair for dealers and Yards. That brought him into distribution sales and eventually into forming his own manufacturers representative company in 1980. He has seen the ways business has changed in our industry and continues to change with it. Southern California is an especially hard place to do business with high land, employee, living and travel costs that have caused many marine businesses to move on. He still pounds the pavement and knows all the players with a relationship of trust and knowledge that Steve brings to the table that our customers and manufacturers respect.
He resides in Costa Mesa and refuses to leave.
Bob Stoick – territory manager
Bob has over 20 years of experience working in the Marine and Sporting goods industry. He joined a manufactures representative company in Seattle in1984 after spending 7 years working for Eli Lilly and Co. Bob formed his own sales agency: the Bob Stoick Co. in 1990 and joined the Marine Markets West team in 2005. In addition to his strong sales background, he holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
A road junky at heart who racks up thousands of road and frequent flier miles working with dealers, distributors, OEMS and mass retailers from Washington to Southern California and the rocky mountain region. Engine service and repair dealers continue to be a strong focus of Bob’s sales efforts. The MMW agency has developed strong relationships with the distributors who service this market segment. Customers depend on the engine accessory expertise that Bob brings to the field.
Formally from Seattle he moved to Arizona 3 years ago to get back in the sun and uses this excellent air hub to easily reach places in Northern California and the growing inland rocky mountain region markets.
